[img(width=316 height=60)]links/images/splogo.jpg[/img] Die Band wurde 1981 von den drei Musikern Leee John (Gesang), Ashley Ingram (Gitarre, Bass) und Errol Kennedy (Schlagzeug) gegründet. Zu Beginn der 80er Jahre hatte die Band Top-Ten-Hits wie Body Talk, Just an Illusion, Music 'n Lights und New Dimension. Sie gaben sich den Bandnamen "Imagination" in Anlehnung an John Lennons Hit "Imagine". From the album "Body Talk" to "In The Heat Of The Night" to "Scandalous". The sensual and typical sound of Imagination kept on evolving. This album is a bit more funky than "In The Heat.." and still based on the Imagination formula. More up tempo songs here like "New Dimension", "State Of Love" and (how about a silly title) "Shoo Be Doo Da Dabba Doobee". Very nice is "Looking At Midnight" and again some wonderful ballads: "When I See The Fire", "Wrong In Love" and the superb "The Need To Be Free". Good music to dance on or again: lay back and enjoy. Scandalous failed to repeat the success of Imagination's previous albums, stalling at No. 25 in the United Kingdom and not producing a top 20 single. It marked the start of a decline in the group's commercial fortunes; subsequent albums were even less successful.
