The initial line-up consisted of guitarists Juuso Soinio and Anton Kabanen, and drummer Pyry Vikki, who were high school friends. The rest of the original lineup, bassist Eero Sipilä, keytarist Janne Björkroth and lead singer Nitte Valo, joined the band after auditions. Without former guitarist Anton Kabanen, who wrote 100% of the material on their 3 previous albums, what would they sound like, and would they have any good songs? The answers are 1) Still Battle Beast's great mid-80s metal sound, and 2) Yes, some very good songs. In fact they have utterly proven themselves as able and ready to stand alone, and "Bringer of Pain", which by the album cover and artwork and promotion have clearly established vocalist Noora Louhimo as the focus and star of the band, and she is, she really is. Noora has crafted herself into an outrageous stage character that she has variously called "War Goddess" and "Metal Bitch", and that, coupled with her amazing vocals and night-after-night consistency when performing live has her poised to be a real star in the world of heavy metal.
