August 1947 in Berlin; † 26. April 2022) war ein deutscher Komponist, Musiker und Produzent. Er gilt als wichtiger Vertreter der elektronischen Musik und als Wegbereiter der Berliner Schule. One on the best (if not THE best) compilation of Schulze's first two decades. The tracks are not just excerpts of (much) longer original tracks, as you might expect of the track listing. Oh no, they are mixed together in a way that let the album surprisingly appear as one organic piece. This release is recommended for both, the curious Schulze-beginner as well as the long-time Schulze-lover.
