Juli 1944 als Mildred Jackson in Thomson, Georgia) ist eine US-amerikanische R&B-Singer-Songwriterin, die ihre größten Erfolge in den 70er Jahren feierte. Bis 1988 platzierte sie rund 40 Hits in den amerikanischen R&B-Charts. Zu ihren erfolgreichsten Werken gehören die Alben Caught Up (1974), Feelin' Bitchy (1977) und Get It Out'cha System (1978), die in den USA jeweils über 500.000 Mal verkauft und mit Gold ausgezeichnet wurden. Richtig durchstrarten konnte sie trotz toller Stimme mit ihrer Karriere aber nie. Tina Turner could take some lessons from Millie. All of the cuts on this album are smooth but powerful. It features two of Jackson's best known songs, the Merle Haggard cover "If You're Not Back in Love by Monday" (which became a U.S. pop hit for Jackson), and the Latimore track "All the Way Lover". The latter features one of Millie's trademark extended raps, this time on the topic of men who refuse to perform oral sex on their partners.
