Born in Spanish Town, Jamaica, Jones was raised in a strict and devoutly Pentecostal household by her parents, who eventually moved to the U.S. and left Jones and her siblings in the care of their grandmother and an abusive step-grandfather. At the age of 13, the Jones children joined their parents in the States. Jones studied theater at Syracuse University before launching a career as a model Bulletproof Heart is the ninth studio album by Jamaican singer and songwriter Grace Jones. Perhaps not top-tier Jones, and very 1989 in production, it's still an enjoyable listen. Especially if you're fan of Jones and specifically her mid-1980s albums. Despite it not having anything that's a true contender for a pop hit, it's more of a solid slab of art-pop/avant-dance than Slave To The Rhythm was. Remastered 2004 [color=#FF0000]1.
